Hello everybody

my name ist Daniel and I‘m from Germany.

A Part of my ancestors came from the area of Galicia and Bukowina.

I‘m looking for information for the following people:

Josef Nawrocki *1865 in Biesna Galicia (should be Biesna near Gorlice)
Anna Senejko or Seneiko *1866 in Sambor / Sambir (Wife of Josef Nawrocki)

Josef and Anna moved to Chernivtsi (Czernowitz) and had two sons:
Peter Nawrocki *29.07.1904 in Chernivtsi (Czernowitz) and
Josef Nawrocki *11.03.1911 in Chernivtsi (Czernowitz)

Friedrich Feniuk (birthplace and date unknown)
Josefa Hutnicki (Wife of Friedrich Feniuk)
They had eight children:
Maria Feniuk *05.09.1907 in Chernivtsi (Czernowitz) (Wife of Peter Nawrocki)
Mich(a)el Feniuk
Johann Feniuk
Matthes Feniuk
Rudi Feniuk
Karl Feniuk
Fritz Feniuk
Adam Feniuk

Siegmund Josefowicz (birthplace and date unknown)
Anna Geyma *1892 in Chernivtsi (Czernowitz)
They had one daughter
Gisela Josefowicz *01.03.1911 in Chernivtsi (Czernowitz)

Does anybody known these surnames and is able to tell me more of these persons?

Where can I find church records of Biesna and Sambor (Sambir)?

I think the parish of Biesna is Siedliska or Grybow. But I can‘t find the right church records.

Thank you very much for your help!

Daniel

Hello Daniel!

Unfortunately, i dont know names of your family, but it looks like they are nice mix of different origins.

Regarding Biesna, it looks like it belonged to Bobowa Parish. Some records you can find on family search site. Just click on Catalog and enter right place.

Regarding sambor, there was Stary Sambor and Nowy Sambor. There are online available scans here http://www.agad.gov.pl/inwentarze/Kprze437x.xml covering many years. Just use shortcut Ctrl+F to easily find a word sambor. Also family search as usually should has Sambor parish records since it has many many "ukrainian" records.
When looking for Senejko, i would look also in greek-catholic records if available.

Good luck.
