I am searching for information on my paternal grandfather. His name is Franciszek Jaczak. He also may have used the name Jacek. According to teh Ellis Island papers I found, he came from Lomza Podgorze. He immigrated to the United States in 1914. Any information on the Jaczak family that could relate to my grandfather would be appreciated. Also would appreciate information on Catholic Churches around 1910 in the Podgorze Lomza area.

At the end of 19th century Podgórze belonged to Łomża parish, most probably to the oldest parish in Łomza - St Michael Archangel. According information I found, books from the parish are still stored locally in the local church at Dworna 25 street (click here for parish website: http://www.katedra.4lomza.pl/ ).
