Post subject: Barany 5 miles SW of Lipno
I have a hand-drawn map that accompanied an article about Barany.
There's no date but the article implied it depicted the time of the author's childhood, around the early 1930's.
There are 40 some homes shown along with the family name living in that home at the time.
It was mostly ethnic Germans living there from the 19th century until WWII, but there are a couple of Polish surnames.
If you have a relative that lived there, I've attached a copy of the map for you, or if missing - email me and I'll send you a copy.

I have the following description of my grand fathers birth village from the book:
Slownik Geograficzny Krolestwo Polskiego. 1880-1902.
reprinted 1975-1978
Barany, ws, pow. lipnowski, gm. Klokockie, par. Lipno; w 1827 r. miala 16 dm. i 153 mieszk
I got some of it to interpret, but those contractions don't ..
Can someone tell me what it says (I added the image to assure the
Polish characters are shown)

Your Barany translation:
Barany, a village, county Lipno, Kłokock borough, Lipno parish; in 1827 there were 16 houses and 153 inhabitants.
