I recently spent the day with a new found cousin who pulled out some boxes that belonged to his Polish Grandparents. His grandfather was the brother of my great-grandmother and he was sending money home to Poland. I always wondered how they sent their money home. I am posting some images of the receipts we found - John was sending money home to his mother Jozefa Kadlub in Odrowaz, near Czarny Dunajec, in the provice of Nowy Targ, Galicia.

If anyone else has similar receipts to share, I would love to see them!
Please comment on this practice of sending money home. I would like to hear stories from others in our forum.
