Post subject: Targonie Wity
Can anyone tell me anything about Targonie Wity (near Lomza) ?? I have a relative who lived there (and left Poland) around 1904. His name was Stanislaw Targonski. Thanks in advance.

Thanks PabianAus but Targonie-Wity is actually listed both on Google and several source documents as a legitimate place name too. From wiki entry: Targonie-Wity [tarˈɡɔɲe ˈvitɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Zawady, within Białystok County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland ( "Central Statistical Office (GUS) – TERYT (National Register of Territorial Land Apportionment Journal)" (in Polish). 2008-06-01.)
Supposedly there are several villages named Targonie in the area (perhaps originally one that was sub-divided??).
But, you may still be correct that Targonie-Wity and Targonie Wielkie might be the same place... I do not know.
There is also a Targonie-Krytuły village in the area as well.
