Klecz-; Kleczkowski, Kleczkowska(female) - from old Polish klecz - „kind of fish”, kleczka - „rattle” or kleczyć - "to remove honeycombs from the hive".

There were following noble families:

Kleczkowski coat of arms Cholewa in Prussia (1620)
Kleczkowski, boyar family from Kovel region in Volhynia (1628)
