Thanks Zenon!!

I'm attaching 3 documents:
Andrzej - Passport - page 1 and page 2
Ellis Island Manifast - summary (Note: my grandmother married Andrzej Karolak in Polland before arriving to U.S. I have no other records of birth certificate, marriage info, etc.

I have no relatives that know of any other information here in U.S!!

Someone else told me, her name from this document might be Trzepacz?
Again, previous maiden name or previous married name?

Again, any info regarding her or Andrzej would be appreciated!!

Thanks agaon,
Bob Karolak

For me Anastasia's maiden name looks like Trzepacz. It is much harder to guess her place of birth. I would take a guess that this is Raciniewo, but I am not sure of that.

Witaj& Jozef,

Thank you for your time and book photo confirming Andrzej Karolak's birth confirmation. One of my friends, Eva, was kind enough to interprete your comments.

Hope you and your family are doing well!!!

Take care and Thanks again,
Bob Karolak

Hi - I was reading your post about your grandmother's name and I remember my sister in Poland beating a rug with an old fashioned carpet beater. It was a long handle and the end part which beat the carpet was sort of shaped like a 3 leafed clover and was woven out of some kind of wood or straw. She told me that was called a Trzepaczka. Smile

That's right Bernadette, "trzepaczka" from the verb "trzepać" - to beat Smile.

Ha! It's amazing the words I remember from my younger days spent in Poland. I used to walk around my sister's house picking things and saying "Co to jest?" That's how I improved my vocabulary. My Polish sister and I communicated for years using our own system - words, hand gestures, dictionary, pictures, and anything else we could think of to get our point across - including obviously - TELEPATHY.

Very Happy
