Aga,
Were you able to find any nobility connected with the name Madalinski? The family story is that my maternal grandmother (Frances) claimed that Antoni Madalinski was her great grandfather or great-great grandfather. She was born in 1875 and at the time of her birth lived in a Duszno manor. On the birth record of my great-grandmother (Ludwika) her father is listed as Laurentius Madalinski. I have no proof that there was a marriage with that relationship. My great-grandmother (Ludwika) used her mother's surname as her maiden name on her marriage record.
Thank you,

herb43,

the data I gave you above is from "Spis Szlachty Polskiej" (Register of Polish Nobility) compiled by Jerzy Sewer count Dunin-Borkowski and published in 1887 in Lwow, so all mentioned families are noble. I do not know if they are related to your Madaliński ancestors.

I have found the register of Duszno inhabitants from 1809 (http://pdp.wuwr.pl/preview/-4890) and there is no Madaliński.
