I am interested in what the Surname Wietecha means in Polish. I know my Great Grandfather came from the small town out side Joslo. He left in late 1890's when it was known as Galacia. Any ideas?
I have a friend whose last name is Wietecha. I do not know anything about her Polish family roots, but had just recently told her I would see if I could find anything on her family once she provided me with any names, dates or locations.
So I'd love to get in touch with you to see what you have learned about your family, so I'd have something to compare with what info she prvides to me. And if you find more info on the origin of the name-I'd be interested also, so that I can pass it on to her.
