I just was given a tidbit of information from a second cousin about my great grandmother. She apparently still held the title to the family farm back in Dobromil while she was living here in the United States. Apparently after WWII, she sold it to some cousins who were still living over in Poland because after the war, you weren't allowed to go back and claim the land if you were living there.
Anyone know of any relatives of Katharine Kraus living in Dobromil around 1945? (Her married name for the sale would have been Katharine Przedpelski, or Katie Przedpelski). Katharine was born in 1888 to Josephus Kraus and Maria Kurz. She immigrated to the US in 1904.
Would there possibly be any record of the sale that I could have looked up?
