Post subject: Roznowski
Linda and Tad (Kengal ) asked me if I know anything more than I wrote about noble families here: http://forum.polishorigins.com/viewtopic.php?p=155#155 of Rożnowski surname as well as people by that name living in today's Poland.
Here is what I found in my sources:
Rożnowski; Różn-; from różny; "various, different". In written sources very similar surname Rożnowicz appeares in 1498.
There were 469 people by the surname Rożnowski living in Poland in 2002 and most lived in Warsaw (44), Poznan (25) and Jaworzno (23) areas.
