Post subject: Posting Church Records
Good morning,
I was wondering if people ever post their results from searching church records for others to use? I had someone suggest that I look at these records. Is it possible that they have already been posted on one of the forums?
Thank you,
Patty

I can't seem to find it now but I've run across a website a few times where someone had published a bunch of records from what I believe was the Poland, Tarnow Roman Catholic Diocese Church Books. It had marriage, birth and death records but I didn't find my grandfather there. I'll post the website if I can find it again. Maybe it will help someone else.
Thank you,
Patty

Hi, Patty
Nice to see you here. Just to let you know few days ago someone posted a message looking for the Forys family. And also looking for another family, Gorska, or close to it.
You are probably referring to https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1985025

Hi Gilberto,
Thank you. It's nice to see you too.
Yes, I looked at the profile of Linda Merkel and it looks like she is in the same boat as I am. Hopefully we will be able to help each other fill in some of the blanks with the help of these wonderful groups.
I've been looking for that website again but I'm afraid I'll just have to stumble on it like I've done in the past. It looked to me like someone had gotten a copy of their microfilm and posted all the information to the web. There were some Szareks on the pages but none born on the day my grandfather was. I was hoping to find his name to also get his parents names.
Have a great day,
Patty

Hi Patty,
Linda's Forys were originally from the village of Zaluczne, near Nowy Targ. Later they moved to Posadowa, near Podole, just about 30 miles east of Krakow. My Kulawiak family also left Odrowaz, the village right next to Zaluczne. They lived in Podole for several years before emigrating to America. We still do not know the reason for this move.
Have you been able to connect with Linda? Send me a private message and we can talk further.
Have a wonderful day Patty!
Shellie
