Post subject: MALAWA (village near Rzsezow)
KOPIC/(Kopec/Kopacz?) and Wozniak...
My maternal grandfather, Tomasz J. Kopic (c. 1883-4?) came from this village of Malawa (just east of Rzeszow). Later, immigrated and settled in Pennsylvania.
I've learned some interesting anecdotal evidence about the start of his life stateside, but, near nothing about his past in Poland.
Any reader's connection with these surnames and/or historical input of that time period, about the Malawa/Rzsezow area, would be much appreciated. Thanks....
