Post subject: Makarewicz emigrants to Massachusetts
A relative of my husband's created an apparently very well researched history of the Makarewicz family that came from Poland (Bialystok / Czarnystok, Koricin and more) to massachusetts (particularly Lowell, Dracut, Newton). It is a lovely "immigrant narrative" supported by tons of documentation both pre and post emigration. My husband's relative also visited Poland and documented conversations with Makarewicz relatives still living there back in the late 1990s. I'd like to get in contact with someone who has more knowledge about this kind of research than I do. If anyone could provide some contact info, I'd appreciate it.

My grandparents emigrated to Mass also. One set of grandparents, Buzun, Danisiewicz came from the same area you listed in your Nov 19,2018 entry.
Can you suggest a search engine other than Genteka? Seems like Danisiewicz converted to Catholicism in Mass. and wondering if that may be why he is not appearing in my search.
Interested an any info or links you may want to share in your family history.
