Post subject: Murzasichle, Galicia, Austria
Murzasichle is located in southern Poland about 52 miles south of the regional capital Krakow, about 3 miles south east of Poronin, and about 4 miles east of Zakopane. It belongs to the administrative district of Poronin. The name of the village came from the merging of the names of two settlements: Mur and Zasichle.
In the Forum Section "Emigration" at http://forum.polishorigins.com/viewtopic.php?t=944 you will find a list of Murzasichle emigrants who entered the United States through the Port of New York (based on information given at the Ellis Island site).
