What is the origin of Zbydniowski? Other spellings: Zbytniowski, Zbydniewski.

Eileen,

This website seems to have a large collection of names, some with origin:
http://www.stankiewicze.com/index.php?kat=44&sub=762

Two different origins:
1. Zbyd + suffix
origin: village name
2. Zbyt + suffix
origin: a word meaning excess, luxury
In current today Polish "zbytnik" is something unneccesary, you buy without need.
