Hi,
There is a Mamczur family living in Lukawica near Narol: Maria and Aleksander. They have a iron foundry business as well as a countryside vacation farm (so-called agritourist farm) where my friends and I stayed a couple of times. A beautiful place in the forests of southern Roztocze.
You can view their contact details and their location on the map here:
http://mamczur.com.pl/odlewnia/kontakt.html
If you wish to establish contact with them, I can help with translating although their children, or rather grandchildren, may know English.

Hi! Thank you for posting this! I have been in contact with the Lukawica Mamczurs. They are lovely, gracious people, and have sent me many pictures of the area.
See my attachment for one of them.

Elaine,
It's great that you've found them! What a coincidence! Nice photo of the ironworks. It's funny how intently the two visitors (I guess) are looking inside the other room. Was there a show of blacksmith's art going on there?

No, it wasn't a show. They are actually other Mamczurs trying to establish if we are all related. If you are interested you can check out an earlier posting of mine from March 2012.
