We would like to recommend you the wooden architecture sites in Poland. We believe that this is the very special element of our beautiful landscape. We would love to show you these amazing places!

There will be a series of articles on our blog about some of the best wooden architecture examples.

You can use it as a help to your Family and Friends Tour itinerary planning (write us which one you must see and we will arrange it). Today you can read the short introduction (http://blog.polishorigins.com/2013/07/01/wooden-treasures-of-southern-poland-introduction/)and see the map of places that will show on our blog very soon.

There is also an article about St. Paraskewa Orthodox church in Kwiatoń: http://blog.polishorigins.com/2013/07/01/st-paraskewa-orthodox-church-in-kwiaton/. I've started with this article, because the church in Kwiatoń, together with 7 other orthodox churches in southern Poland, were added to UNESCO heritage list, just a few days ago.

Do you like the Polish folklore, traditional art and paintings? Then you would be delighted with our new suggestion of the best places to visit in Poland: Zalipie, the painted village. You can read a short article on our blog (click here to open it).
I hope that you will enjoy this!

I invite you to read the new article on our blog. It is another, worth visiting, wooden treasure: the church and storey houses in Lipnica Murowana. You can see it here: http://blog.polishorigins.com/2013/08/07/lipnica-murowana/

“In the interior there is a polychrome from the 19th century. The nave and sanctuary are separated by the complete iconostasis – wall of icons and religious paintings, created by Antoni Bogdański and his sons: Michał and Zygmunt. They were the members of famous artists family, coming from Jaśliska (the little town in the South-Eatsern Poland), painting the icons in the whole Galicia area…”
