Hi William,
Well done for trying to help your friend. I live in Australia and I'm not sure how much success you would have with the Australian National Archives. They do not release records of any interviews because of the restrictions regarding ASIO officers who conducted them and some of the personal questions asked to the interviewees. Both sets of my grandparents were interviewed and all I can view is their applications, not the interviews. However, you stated that she was interviewed by the British Embassy. Have you contacted them or the British National Archives to see if they are permitted to keep and release interview records??
If your friend was naturalised in Australia, the Australian National Archives does release records of their application for naturalisation and their certificate if it was granted. Depending on her method of travel to Australia, and if it was under any assisted transport scheme, there may also be records of that.
Best of luck,
Megan.

Hi Megan
Thank you for your advice we have been to the National Archives in Sydney and in Canberra to investigate the records of my friend's late husband and also her bi logical father we have obtained their immigration files and naturalisation files. The only file we could obtain on my friend was a one page file in which she is shown as an alien, as her late husband bought her out by paying the fare there was no migration file etc. Prior to be able to come to Australia there were medical and security checks preformed by the British Embassy in Krakow. I looked on the National Archives and carried out a search but to no avail I was hoping that someone had been down this track.
Thank You
Bill

Hi Bill,
My only other advice would be to contact the British Embassy in Poland. If the British National Archives search came up with nothing, it is probably best to go direct to the source. The email addresses are below.
Email: [email protected]
[email protected]
The first is for the British Embassy which is based in Warsaw. The second is the UK High Consul (they are connected to the embassy) email, who operate out of Krakow. You are able to make requests due to Freedom of Information, but they can refuse on similar grounds to the restrictions that Australia follows. Even if it is not the correct place, they may have more idea of where to look. I presume you can email in English.
Best of luck,
Megan.
