Is is likely that Hakiel is an earlier version of Chachula?

Krishy88,

I checked the origins of both surnames and Hakiel is from German given name Hake, while Chachuła (sometimes also written Hachuła) is from old, Polish word chachulać, “to conceal something,” or chachuła, “snout”.
