Ryszard has translated from Russian this place name, home of my ancestors.

"the village of Walki, Austrian Galicia"

It might be around Tarnow, as that is mentioned in other records relating to this same family, or Skrzyszów just east of Tarnow.

Have stared at the map up close for a very long time and cannot find it. Also done map searches, Google searches, to no avail.

Can anyone help?

Helena

The words appear somewhere in the attached document but as I don't know Russian, I don't know where, other than it's just before the name Katarzyna.

TOMASY CYZ, age 28, single, baker, born in Austrian Galicia, Tarnow circuit, village of Skrzylesow [?], son of deceased Wojciech and his still living widow Zofia nee Pitak Cyż, laborer in the village of Walki, Austrian Galicia, and KATARZYNA NAJA

Jodlowka ad Walki
Tarnów
Skrzyszów, Lisia Góra

Helena,

RC Church in Skrzyszów, Lisia Góra. The information was found in a website named Galician Town Locator, many years ago.

Helena,

it is NOT Cyż. It is CYŻA. Tomasz Cyża and Katarzyna Naja.
