Hi, all

On this 1932 German index of births I assume the capital letter on the left side refers to the initial of the surname.
However, I was not able to identify a Magrowski there. Actually, I was not able to identify any wowel or consonant anywhere.
After the names: what does that capital P stand for? Protestant? Prussian? Pfarramt? Posilge? (a place in Stalle parish)
I have noticed that the two folllowing columns should refer to the number of the page the record was written, and then the number of the record itself.

Thanks.
Gilberto

Hi Gilberto,

I do not have any knowledge about German Records.

I did look in my book by Rosemary Chorzempa and found a reference for two books that may be of help for anyone working with German Records.

1) If I Can You Can Decipher Germanic Records By Edna Bentz's

2) German-English Genealogical Dictionary By Ernest Thode

I was thinking that you may want to check to see if either author has a website that may offer some further information.

Good Luck as those surnames sure look difficult to read,
MaryAnne

Hi Gilberto,
I flipped your photo to the positive image to see if you can read it better. I don't speak German either, but I know that we have several members here who can. I'm sure one of them will reply. Have a great day!

Thanks, Shellie
This LDS microflm was the first I have seen which was made in a diapositive way.
