Post subject: Record of Franciszek Zielinski
Hello, the index for Lubanie states that a Franciszek Zielinski is act 113. I got this record but it is in Russian and I'm having trouble figuring out if this is a record for a Franciszek Zielinski. I would really appreciate help translating it!

Hi Szynkiewicz,
I can't read Russian, but within the document the names are also written in Polish, so I can tell you that this is a record for Andrzej Dorsz and not for Franciszek Zielinski.
If you could post a link to where you found this, perhaps I can help you get to the correct Act 113, so that Marcel can translate it for you.

There is an error in the parish book. The baptism record for Franciszek Zieliński is entered at number 99.

Stawiec
It happened in the village of Lubanie, on September 20th/October 2nd, 1892, at 7 p.m.
Appeared personally Tomasz Zieliński, 24 years old, a servant, living in Stawiec, in the presence of Wawrzyniec Kołtuński, 38 years old and Kazimierz Skonieczny, 51 years old, both servants living in Stawiec, and presented Us a male infant child, informing that the child was born today in Stawiec, at 3 p.m., to his legal wife, Anastazja nee Domańska, 23 years old.
At The Holy Baptism, held today, the child was given the name: Franciszek and the godparents were: Aleksander Kozłowski and Antonina Domańska.
This act was read to the declarant and the witnesses and due to the illiteracy of the declarant and the first of the witnesses it was signed by Us and the second witness.
Priest Pantaleon Olkiewicz, the Lubanie parish-priest, serving as Civil Registrar.
Kazimierz Skonieczny, the witness.
