Hi Shannon and Monika,
This is very convincing to me. Monika, you completely unlocked the puzzle of the Skrebutenas surname as well as deciphering the town she came from. Shannon, I really think you have her! I hope the gentleman who was helping you has provided you with an image of her birth record (note, I don't think this is what he found in his book of emigrants, I think he is telling you he found it in the church records). The birth year of 1891 goes very well with the ship manifest.
Happiness!
Sophia

Monika,
I was researching the languages used during different years in Lithuanian church records, and believe this is Russian, right? But was wondering if all the hand written part is also all Russian?
I actually had that book bookmarked in my searches previously. But, I NEVER would have been able to find that on my own. Not in a million years.
Thank you all so much! And I know Veronika would thank you too!

Shannon, I'll look into it. Can you make a note of what I should be looking for? Approximate year and name. Otherwise, I have to read everything that was written in the last few days. Will first look at the two links Monika has posted.

Hi Barb!
So we found Veronicas info. Thank you for all your help!! Monika has given me a link to her birth church record.
So I think since she already found it, that she would probably already know this. But thank you so much!!
Just 4 posts back, you can see the link to Veronikas info info!

Do you need a translation of Veronika's birth certificate?

Yes, it's written in Russian. Most of these records are written in Cyrillic, but I have also seen some in Polish (about 1830/1840) and Latin (about 1790 and earlier) - I don't know the exact dates when they switched from one to another.
Very nice picture of Veronica

Monika, have you seen church records from parish Twerecz for the period 1865-1890? Thinking mainly of weddings.
