Post subject: Birth document Edmund Jeske
Dear MarcelProust,
Could you occasionally decipher and translate the attached birth record? I received it from the Poznań State Archives.
The child's name is Edmund, the father's name is Gustav Jeske as far as I know. The place is Gorki.

Górki
It happened in Dąbie, on March 19th/April 1st, 1902, at 6 p.m.
Appeared Gustaw Jeske, a peasant from Górki, 36 years old, in the presence of Wolhelm Hartwich, a pearant from Górki, 49 years ols and Ludwik Kriger, a peasant from Górką, 42 years old and presented Us a male infant child, who was born in Górki, on March 14th/27th of the current year, at 4 a.m., to his wife, Karolina nee Górke, 27 years old.
At The Holy Baptism, held today, the child was given the name Edmund and the godparents were: the first witness and Ernestyna Kriger, married.
This act was read to the declarant and the witnesses, who all were illiterate and it was signed.
