Thank you for posting the link to this book. I looked at the entry for your grandfather. It was very good to be able to see his photograph. I do not know whether you will succeed to find other documents about him, but you have made very good progress so far. I continued looking through the book, just to see some of the other men who died and are buried in Miednoje. It is very humbling.

If you ever get the chance to go see it, there is a monument in Toronto to Katyn. It is in the Roncesvalles neighborhood.

All best wishes for a good weekend,
Sophia

Hello Sophia,
It seems that Aleksander and Anna also had a son Feliks. And in addition we have the birth and death date of Aleksander (father). He was born on July 17th, 1869 and died on October 26th, 1931. It is not certain who was Stefania.

I am very interested and don't know how to receive information, legimate copy of Turowski years of service in Brody, and his marriage certificate. From which archive? I found out a lot of information is locating in IPN. What kind of request I should submit. After finding such sensitive history, my daughter is interested to find the way how she is eligible to apply for Polish citizenship and be proud of being part of Independant Poland today. Thanks a lot.

You can write to the State Archive of the Rivne region.
[email protected]
There I found the birth certificate of Boleslaw. Possibly he married at the same place and asks how you can find a copy of his service in Brody.
