Hi. I am looking for any relatives of Wolf Figowski/Figowsky, b. 1866 . Shipped to USA on the Albano out of Hamburg on 12/22/1899. City of origin was listed as Szczecin or Bialystock? If this is familiar to anyone please let me know. I am just starting the Polish research as we just got this far!

Welcome!
I put together a quick overview of Figowski/Figowsky immigrants that arrived at the port of New York, based on information I found on the Ellis Island site. It gives you some first hints about how the families were connected. These are just a few things to get started. There are more records at Ancestry.com that I have no subscription to, but perhaps somebody else can jump in here. You're saying you're looking for your grandmother's relatives. Would you be willing to share some more information with us, such as her date of birth, her maiden and married name, her date of death if she is deceased, where she lived, how she is related to Wolf Figowski/Figowsky, etc.)? This would make it easier for us to help you.

Figowski/Figowsky immigrants I found on the Ellis Island site:

Abraham Figowski traveled to the US on board of the SS 'Grosser Kurfuerst' that departed from Bremen, Germany and arrived in New York on Oct 03, 1900. He was 48 ys old at the time, married, his occupation was merchant, his nationality was Russia, it was his first trip to the US, his last place of residence was 'Scucsyn', he was going to join his brother-in-law in New York (name not given).

Fiena Figowski traveled to the US on board of the SS 'Potsdam' that departed from Rotterdam, Holland and arrived in New York on July 03, 1912. Her ethnicity was Russian/Hebrew, she was 17 ys old at the time, single, no occupation, her last place of residence was Lomsk, Russia with her father Wolf Figowski, she was headed to Newark to join her brother Morris Figowski who lived at 35, Barclay St. at the time. Her place of birth was Lomsk.

Pola Figowski traveled to the US on board of the SS 'Potsdam' that departed from Rotterdam, Holland and arrived in the US on July 7, 1901. Her ethnicity was Russian, she was 16 ys old at the time, single, her last place of residence was Bialystok, she was headed to New York to join her father W. (Wolf?) Figowsky.

Wolf Figowsky traveled to the US on board of the SS 'Columbia' that departed from Hamburg, Germany and arrived in New York on Dec 22, 1899. His ethnicity was Russian, he was 41 ys old at the time, married, his occupation was ‘hatterer’ (hatter?), his last place of residence was 'Scuczyn', he was headed to New York to join his brother-in-law David Ginsberg who lived at 15, Walker St. at the time.

Sarah Figowsky traveled to the US on board of the SS 'Fuerst Bismarck' that sailed from Hamburg via Southampton to New York and arrived there on Jan 30, 1893. Her ethnicity was Russian, she was 24 ys old at the time, marital status, last residence, and destination in the US not available (linked to the wrong passenger record).

Leib Figowsky traveled to the US on board of the SS 'Pretoria' that departed from Hamburg, Germany and arrived in New York on May 19, 1901. His ethnicity was Russian, he was 22 ys old at the time, single, his occupation was laborer, his last place of residence was 'Lomzynak', he was headed to New York to join his uncle David Ginsberg at what looks like 51, 7th St.

Elias Figowsky traveld to the US on board of the SS Kaiser Wilhelm II that sailed from Bremen, Germany to New York and arrived there on Dec 08, 1903. His ethnicity was Russian, Hebrew, he was 46 ys old at the time, married, his occupation was clerk, his last place of residence was Lodz, he was headed to his brother-in-law Paul Greenberg, c/o [?] O. Wilkind, 302, Broadway, New York.

At https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KDHC-5ZJ I found another Abram Figowski who traveled to the US on board of the SS 'Normannia' that departed Hamburg, Germany and arrived in New York on July 25, 1891. He was 34 ys old at the time (b. abt. 1857), his occupation was farmer, his last residence was Bialystok, his country of origin Russia, his destination New York.

More information you may find here:

I just found this information online at www.mhebooklibrary.com/reader/...at.../26 - [can't log in to read more]:
'My father's father, Wolf Figowski, born in 1862, had preceded his family to New York seven months before they crossed the Atlantic, changing and Americanizing ...' ...
Does it refer to the Wolf Figowski you are looking for?

Was your grandmother Channah/Chana/Hannah Priłukier, daughter of R. Lejb Priłukier/Perliker/Preloker, who married Wolf Figowski 1882 in Bialystok? Then you may be interested in one of the following links:

I am related to the Figowskis of Szczuczyn - Moshe Hersh FIGOWSKI b. 1852 married to Raszka Lewkowski, with children Enia, Meyer, Sholem, Joel, Chaim, Israel, Hersh, Miriam (Sztejgman) and Rachel (Tykocki). These would seem to be extended family of the Figowskis you mention, though I don't know much more about then than that.

I have found a bump in my road. The family who arrived in 1901 to join their father , Wolf, listed a Tillie (Theophila) as a child. She was actually not related, and was probably listed that way to get her on board. She turns out to be a cousin of Wolf's first wife Chana Priluker, which means she is not a Figowski but a Priluker or other surname. She was supposedly from a small town in the same area . If anyone has any ideas on how I should proceed on this on e let me know!. I am thinking maybe related to Michael Reynolds line? She was born about 1884.
