Pat,

Bea gives a link (rather series of link) in the above message. I do not understand much (it is a conversatyion with references I am not familiar with). I understood one or two things.
1) Marianny z pewnością brzmi ,,Polewaczyk" - it suggests the name of your Maryanna is Polewaczyk
2) A Good Men made a project here http://poczekalnia.genealodzy.pl/ when you click on the big red WEJSCIE you get to http://poczekalnia.genealodzy.pl/pliki/ then clicking one after another I got here
http://poczekalnia.genealodzy.pl/pliki/AP-Pultusk/ where I see Myszyniec with a collection of death records

I got lost, but at one moment get here
http://metryki.genealodzy.pl/metryki.php?op=ch
where you can search names
I wrote "Krysiak", got a map with 50 places, moved to see Myszyniec and nearby.

The small red logo-church right to Myszyniec, click, it shows for Krysiak:
Zespół: 675/D- Łyse
Urodzeń: 135 - birth
Małżeństw: 28 - marriage
Zgonów: 64 -death

Searchibg "Plona" it gives:
Zespół: 675/D- Łyse
Urodzeń: 0
Małżeństw: 1
Zgonów: 1

Probably that way you may seek a little.
Best,
Elzbieta

My mother's parents were:
Father -Stanislaw Bestry b.12.25.1885 in Lomza, Podlaskie
his father was Walenty Bystre 1869; his mother was Anna Kaczmarczyk born 1886 Dudowizna, Mazowieckie

1. Surname: "Bestry" or "Bystre" should be: Bystry
2. Something is wrong. Mother was born one year after the birth of her son.
Dudowizna belongs to the parish Poreba-Kocęby. All records (1808-1910) from this parish, were written & they are here: GENETEKA. There is no Anna Kaczmarczyk born record.

Mother: Maryanna A. Polewarczyk born 1888 Piontkowmjzra Russia/Poland
her father was Martin Polewarczyk; her mother was Anna Popielarczyk ( don't know birth dates or towns)

1. "Polewarczyk"should be: Polewaczyk There is a lot of records for that surname.
2. "Piontkowmjzra" should be: Piątkowizna
Piątkowizna belonged to the parish Turośl in 1888. Unfortunately, the books of that period (nineteenth century) is restricted. There are only available book from the years 1890-1908: Archiwum Państwowe w Białymstoku Oddział w Łomży.
Now Piątkowizna belongs to the parish Zalas. Scans of the books are available from the years 1902-1908 (only births and deaths). I checked. There are there surnames: Polewaczyk and Popielarczyk. But other names.

Again, maybe this should be in a separate thread, but might connect to Krysiak/Plona

In the parish Turośl reported birth to two children:
* Catherine Plona in 1829
* Rosalie Plona in 1826

Marriages in Drozdowo & Łomża:
* 1866: Apolinary Dziomeński & Maryanna Plona - in parish Drozdowo,
* 1865: Jakób Plona & Maryanna Kalinowski - in parish Drozdowo,
* 1845: Piotr Plona & Ludwika Aniszewska - in parish Łomża,
* 1864: Julian Wykewski & Anna Plona - in parish Drozdowo

I think that the children in the picture are already adults and probably have a facebook ... Maybe this way you will be able to find something? This will not help - I do not have facebook!
In my opinion, the surname is not written today Plonia .... just something else.

Dzięki Elżbieto !

Hi Elzbieto
thank you ever so much for all this information. I will work on updating my records and correcting the mistakes which were probably made on the immigration papers. You have been so very helpful, even if I never find the information I am looking for
God bless,
Pat

Actually, I believe Traveler is looking for Stefania (Krysiak) Plona. Plonia is a not the correct spelling. I believe Stefania may be living or lived near Pupkowizna.
