I'm hoping to find information on my ancestors home village, Dymki. Its a tiny place to the east of Lodz. I'd love to find information about the village but I live in the USA and don't speak any Polish. My grandfather was a first generation American, his father came here in early 1900. Our family name as been both Dymki and Demick, as it is now. Any info would be helpful. Smile

Hi,

Attached is the information displayed in the Geographic Dictionary of Kingdom of Poland (SGKP).
To understand the abbreviations used go to

and

and then to a Google translator or ask help to native speakers.

Thank you! I'll translate this today! I love Google translate! It's saved me a lot of grief.

Have you seen this?

All Dymek I found in EI database are from Dymki, Lomza (Jozef, Teofil, Alexander).

One more thing:
Records from Dymki (lodzkie) were kept in Lututow parish.
