Diane,
It seems to me the place name is a bit misspelled. The second and third word are Prusy Wshosdnie (actually Wschodnie) which is the polish name for East Prussia. See http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prusy_Wschodnie
I read the first letters as Turo.....

What I'm reading in the record is "ojciec [father]: Szymon" and "matka" [mother]: Julianna. Were Frank Jagielski's parents Szymon [Jagielski] and Julia [Niemczyk]?
A 17 ys old Szymon Jaqielski arrived in the US on 13 Jan 1905 on board of the SS Breslau that sailed from Bremen, Germany to New York. This Szymon is of course too young to be Frank's father, but he could have been a relative. His last residence abroad was Trzcinica, his destination was Chicago where he was going to join a cousin.

I wonder if Franciszek Jagielski's place of birth was Trzcinica, Prusy Wschodnie.
JewishGenStetlseeker ( http://www.jewishgen.org ) lists three Trzcinica.

the mention to the Niemczyk name is on the other Diane's post.
the Trzcinica I have found are on the opposite side of the country.
I was in a hectic week and couldn't perform a deeper research as I would like to.

I can easily read your Polish death certificate, for me this document is related to the same person as in the English death certificate quoted by Ute.

Elzbieta~ Between the line about the sacraments and who survived him is the line that says Nałeżał do Towarzystwa which I believe translates to "he belonged to the society." Can you read/translate the written response?

The only line I missed - but indeed, you are correct, it is of interest.
Nalezal do Towarzystwa // member of an association : Fon. sw. Grzegorza i Foresterow
Which I would write as:
member of the Foundation of Saint George
and member of Foresters
The second one is actually something like "friends of trees" according to pictures I could find here, in Library of Congress records, http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/ndlpcoop/ichihtml/cdnSubjects118.html

In indexing the birth records for Tl~uchowo (between Pl~ock and Sierpc) I came across a birth record for a Jan Jagielski, born 11 Sep 1857 in that parish to Szymon Jagielski, 37 and Julianna Niemczyk, 36. The sponsors/godparents were Kazimierz Kowalski and Jozefa Kobyl~ecka.

I located the marriage record for Szymon Jagielski and Julianna Niemczyk:
26 July 1857 in Rumunek Tupadl~y, Mokowo parish:
Szymon Jagielski, age 37, born in Rumunek Tupadl~y, son of Maciej Jagielski and Maryanna Kowalska married Julianna Karolina Niemczyk, age 31, born in Wielkie Dobrzen, daughter of Krystyan Niemczyk and Maryanna Fremkow or Fremdow.

Post subject: Place of Birth of Franciszek Jagielski
Diane,
Here are a few more clues which seem to compliment the marriage and birth indexes posted Thursday & Friday. The marriage banns record from St. Stanislaus Kostka lists Franciszek's place of birth as Papowo which is in the same general area as the that of the other records. There is also a listing for Franciszek's obituary from the Chicagoski and there is also an index for his sister Mary (Maria) Lewandowska from the same paper which appeared on March 9, 1942. The Illinois Deaths & Stillbirths Index lists her parents as Simon & Julia Jagielski. Copies of both obits are available for a fee from the Polish Genealogical Society of America (www.pgsa.org).
