Post subject: Researcher wanted: Lida & Nowogródek districts, Belarus
Hello,
Looking for a current, reliable researcher recommendation for the Belarusian archives (NIAB Grodno and NIAB Minsk), ideally someone who can also handle payment to the archive locally. If the PolishOrigins team covers Belarus, I'd be glad to hear that too.
Families and places:
Piotrowski (Petrovsky): Ogrodniki and Misiury, Lida district, Orthodox and Roman Catholic, 1850 to 1912
Surkont: Okolica Worniszki, Lida parish, petty gentry, 1820 to 1856
Sosik: Detomla, Wsielub (Vselyub) parish, Nowogródek district, 1890 to 1911
Main targets: an 1880 Orthodox baptism in Lida district and a 1911 marriage at Wsielub St. Michael's church. I've already written to both archives and am looking for someone who can follow up locally.
Any names you've worked with recently, or pointers to Lida area records, much appreciated. Please reply here or by PM.
Thank you!
