Post subject: Saleski Family from Warschau
Good day,
I am looking for the parents of my great-great-great-grandparents Wilhelm Saleski and Karolina.
Their son is my great-great-grandfather Emil Saleski, born in 1866 in Warsaw – died on December 24, 1918, in Tinnwalde.
Emil was married to Barbara Lutz. She was born on June 24, 1886, in Stara Iwiczna and died in 1960 in Königslutter.
What options do I have here?
Best regards,
Fox

Hi,
Welcome to the Forum!
Do you know Karoline's maiden name? Was her name Karoline Jobs? Do you have a birth record for Emil from 1866? Could you please share this with us?
Regards,
-Barb

Thank you for the welcome.
Unfortunately, I do not yet have any documents about Emil Saleski and his parents.
I only know that his wife Barbara Lutz *24.6.1866 Stara, Iwiczna (my great-great-grandmother) had another marriage after Emil with a Johann Dembowski.
(I am also looking for Barbara Lutz's parents)
Could it be possible that Emil's parents Wilhelm and Karolina died in Warsaw and were also married there?
Best regards,
Fox

Hi,
I would think the surname was originally Zalewski. I see a marriage record in Warsaw that would fit. This one is from 1854. Wilhelm Zalewski, widower, 33 years old married Karoline Jobs, widow of Ludwig Fryderyk Neumann, 27 years old.
So Emil was born around 1866 in Warsaw? We need some date that is correct to continue.

Hi,
That would be interesting.
What options would I have to obtain Emil's birth certificate?
Or could I possibly also try to request the death certificate from Warsaw for Wilhelm and Karolina, where Karolina's maiden name (?Jobs/Jabs?) is listed.
Or the marriage of Emil and Barbara.

I only have the information that Emil Saleski was born in Warsaw in 1866.
I think it was exactly 1866, but I don't have the day or month.
And most importantly, the district in Warsaw where he was born.

There are many churches in Warszawa. I would check the Evangelical church first. In the church where Wiliam Zalewski married Karoline Jobs in 1854, the years 1863-72 are missing. I found 2 children for the couple: Eufrozyna (1856) and Ferdynand (1858).
You know too little and don't have documents that could help. I will continue but it doesn't look promising.

Thanks so much for the feedback
I'll definitely try to get hold of Wilhelm Saleski and Karolina's death certificates.
I also learned from Emil Saleski's death certificate that his parents were Wilhelm and Karolina.
They were listed on it.
I'll contact the Protestant church to ask about death certificates/records for Wilhelm Saleski and Karolina.

Do you have this wedding record, and the death record for Emil? Could I see it?
